Our Mission

Our
Vision

We transform spaces into living canvases for
world-class art, inspiring discovery and connection through beauty and awe.

We envision a world where beauty, communion, and humanity are valued above all.

Our Story

Our Values

As our lives become more automated, they become more faceless, too. Machines do the work of humans. Humans become machines. Our world narrows to an endless series of errands, transactions, and distractions. We lose sight of our individual currencies — the things that make us exceptional — leaving behind any potential for discovery through connection.

Under the creative vision of globally renowned artist Meg Saligman, whose work brought the power of storytelling to street art in Philadelphia, we have coalesced a clever cadre of artists, makers, spirits, and shadows, otherwise known as the Ministry of Awe. We are the keepers of your currencies — your dreams, your stories, and everything that makes us human — and we create and convene solely in the service of awe. We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming with a singular, burning question: What do you truly value?

We have transformed the Manufacturer’s National Bank in Old City, Philadelphia — a magnificent building that has stood witness to the passage of history — into the home of a thriving, interactive, and traversable work of world-class art. By choosing a space originally designed for the humdrum monetary transactions of daily life, we have established a living crossroads of extraordinary forces — beauty, exchange, and communion — blurring preconceptions of traditional systems, shared beliefs, and so-called truths. With your contribution, we transcend the trappings of an increasingly faceless world.

We invite all who dare to dream beyond the mundane in pursuit of the sublime to enter our colossal doors, to seek epiphany within our dreamlike walls, and to partake in a cultural experience like no other.

We are Ministry of Awe. Your account is already open.

Ministry of Awe values the ability of everyone to express themself, to generate action, and to enact change.

It's about using our unique voice, and choosing inclusivity over division, collaboration over isolation, participation over abstention. It means hearing and embracing disparate voices, and creating art with and in service of those ideas and contributions. Ministry of Awe is about us—ALL of us. Join in, plan, create, question, take up space, make art, make messes, and make your dreams a sur-reality.
