For one week in November 2025, Sugarmom’s Hideaway will reopen as the venue for The Wake: Step Beyond the Veil, a surreal, magical, and musical immersive experience exploring the space between life and death.

Created by magician Francis Menotti and produced by Lindsey Noel, along with musical director Jon Gruver, the show blends magic, mind reading, music, and dreamlike funeral themes to question what happens in the moments after death. The event will take place in the current art studio of muralist Meg Saligman, who is collaborating with the magicians as part of her larger immersive project, Ministry of Awe.

A portion of proceeds will support this future installation, and tickets for The Wake's limited run from November 19–23 are extremely limited.
