What if we could celebrate the world’s public spaces—without the need to travel—and invite anyone, anywhere, to contribute?
The World’s Public Spaces: A Cultural Placemaking Mosaic began with that question. This global storytelling project gathers people’s favorite public spaces and presents them through their own eyes—highlighting the emotional and cultural connections that shape how we experience place. The project aims to make these perspectives valuable not only for art lovers but also for policymakers, designers, and community builders.
Ministry of Awe is thrilled to host the Global Placemaking Mosaic project for their final exhibition. The series explores how public spaces are celebrated differently around the world, which aligns perfectly with MoA’s vision.
A curated selection of illustrated public space stories from the A Cultural Placemaking Mosaic survey, along with an interactive art installation in collaboration with the Ministry of Awe (MoA), will be on view until November 28.
The exhibition’s centerpiece is a handcrafted Raree Show—a small peep-hole viewing device revealing miniature worlds inside. Visitors can also enjoy refreshments, themed merchandise, and playful activities designed to make the evening lively and engaging for all.
